Here is a recap of what we have accomplished here at Connect Global with your support!

2017 was a very blessed year for Connect Global.

We have raised a little over 63% of the funds needed for a Maternity Home in La Ceiba. This Maternity Home will have 20 beds, 2 Bathrooms, a Kitchen, and office/Reception Area for the mothers who give birth at the Regional Hospital. Currently, Moms sleep on the floor just outside the NICU unit awaiting their baby's release from the hospital. This Home will provide a safe, clean place for mom and baby to recover and rest before heading home. This also will provide a one-on-one ministry opportunity for the local church body to provide spiritual care for the moms during their stay.

Connect Global with the help of several US Based donors initiated an Education Sponsorship for students who were at risk of dropping out of school due to financial security. We currently have over 20 students that we are helping to stay in school, and are currently looking for more Sponsors to help even more students. This provides a quality, Private, Christian education to students who are academically progressing but who would otherwise not be able to obtain this level of education due to finances.

  • We hosted 26 team members in Honduras from 4 different states and many different churches in the US.
  • We facilitated training and education for over 100 church leaders and business professionals, in 2 of the 3 largest cities of Honduras.

In 2017 we invited Jorge Amador to join Connect Global as our new National Director for Honduras and he has been hard at work. Jorge led a team from the village of Cusuna on their very first Mission Trip.

Jorge has also been sharing his expertise in Aquaponic Fish farms. He has built 3 systems in 2017 and will begin construction soon on a system for Connect Global to use in training videos and in-person workshops to help spread this skill even further.

Connect Global funded, and built our first Clean Water well which is serving a community of 800. This community was so inspired by this effort that the town has already begun raising the funds needed to build a second well in a neighboring village. We hope to see that well completed this year!

The Connected Community Initiative that was launched in 2015 when myself, Danielle, and Saige moved to La Ceiba for a year has been developing very well. We have been serving the Local Church, Business Leaders, the local Police Department, the homeless and drug oppressed as well as investing an extensive amount of time volunteering in several children's homes and primary schools.

We have had an amazing year and look forward to a groundbreaking year in 2018. We have 4 trips scheduled already with many more in development, we expect to have the Maternity Home fully funded and open in 2018, and we also have a new Missionary Training School for nationals on the horizon.

Thank You for the amazing support, please keep us in your prayers.

Connect Global Maternity Home Fundraising Update

Thanks to the overwhelmingly generous support we have received we will be making plans to break ground soon. We have been talking with several professional contractors in La Ceiba to finalize building standards and firm up a potential start date. We will inform you of the details when they are complete.
