The Importance of Clean Water

The Importance of Clean Water

In 2016 Connect Global partnered with the Community Water District in El Tamarindo to support a plan to give water to the residents of this remote and very water insecure town. In August of 2018, Connect Global helped complete the third phase of this current plan to bring water to 2 communities near the original well that was dug. In August 2019 we plan to complete another clean water project in this area. Thank You for your support.

Access to Water around the world is a problem

More than 600 million people still lack ready access to improved sources of drinking water.

Connect Global shares the message of Jesus through collaborative and sustainable solutions to needs around the world. One of the ways we complete this is through clean water projects. We decided to partner with the community run, Water Management District, in Valle, Honduras to come up with a sustainable solution for not only the well but a supply chain to provide water directly to each resident in a sustainable way.

Connect Global has chosen to be a part of the solution

We also hosted a team in Altos De Estiquirin in August 2018 to do work on an existing well and make connections so that each of their residents will have access to clean water.

Our Next Water Project will be in San Lorenzo in late summer of 2019. You can come with us and help bring clean water to a community in Need!

How You can Help provide clean water to this town in Honduras

We are raising $5000 to complete this project and we need your help. Whether you can give $5 or $50 every penny counts. You can literally save lives by helping us. Clean Water can equal improvements in education, income and overall health.

In addition to clean water, our team has been able to help a local school get a kick-start to the new school year, and we also poured several new Concrete floors which will help several families by keeping the elements out of their homes.

This home is nearly complete and we could not be more excited to begin our ministry efforts inside the newly built, 24 bed facility. The Connect Global staff had an opportunity to finalize the contract which will allow us to begin forming the operations staff for the Maternity Home. We are so grateful for everyone who has donated and been a part of this journey.

Our Next Clean Water Project In Honduras

Our Next Clean Water Project In Honduras

Over 660 Million people around the world still drink dirty water. People without access to clean drinking water become ill, miss out on school, make less money, and can even die from water borne disease.

As you may remember, we began raising funds to assist a community in Honduras to drill a new water well in their town around December of 2016.

We are proud to report that we have helped complete the next phase of this water project in this remote area of Honduras.

Our team was able to install a new tank, plumbing, and electric pump to help satisfy the needs of the community and increase their water per household tenfold.

The team from House of Grace church in Georgia partnered with us financially as well as by sending a very hardworking team to see the completion of this project.

Thank You to all who financially and spiritually invested in the long-term benefits of clean and healthy drinking water for this community of Estiquirin, Honduras. We are grateful!

Update From Little Lambs Refuge

Update From Little Lambs Refuge

Here is an update from the Little Lambs Refuge in La Masica, Honduras.

Our Partnership with Proyecto Alcance

We are glad to be connected to this wonderful ministry. We were introduced to the children's home in La Masica in 2015 when Danielle and Saige and I moved to La Ceiba. We visited several times that year and since then have become entrenched in working with the leadership there to support their efforts. We have taken several teams over the past 3 years to engage with Little Lambs Refuge and there have been many individuals who have created deep connections with the kids and the staff.

Together with our partners, we have been able to provide things like spiritual care and support to the kids and leaders, as well as tangible things like new windows, paint, groceries, and financial support.

We are committed to working alongside the leadership here for years to come. We see Connect Global and Proyecto Alcance as ministry partners who care deeply about the welfare and support of the young ones who call this refuge Home.

If you would like to help us support this project we encourage you to pray about how you feel led to partner. We are believing for several people to give monthly towards the home in La Masica.

Water Well Project - Update 2018

Water Well Project - Update 2018

We are very excited to share with you a fantastic update from Honduras.

As you may remember, we began raising funds to assist a community in Honduras to drill a new water well in their town around December of 2016.

Many people, organizations, and churches have given towards this effort, and over the Christmas Holiday, we received the amount needed to begin making this Water Well a reality.

One of our Partners in Honduras, Jorge Amador, has been helping us coordinate with the community, hire local drilling professionals, as well as provide oversight to the project.

The drilling was initiated on Monday, January 23, and we could not be happier to report that the well was completed. The partners in Honduras also contracted the drilling team to go to a nearby town and drill a second well.

Over the last year, along with our Honduran partners, we developed a plan to help this second town, Estiquirin, get their well completed and water to every resident.

In August 2018, Our Team along with a team from House of Grace church in Georgia will be there to see the completion of this project. This is a big project and will cost about $4,000. We have already received $1,000 towards the goal and invite you to invest in the long-term benefits of clean and healthy drinking water for this community of Estiquirin, Honduras.

Please continue to pray with us as this project proceeds and we wait to see this Clean Water Project be completed!

Together we will not only provide clean water to this town but also a restored faith in Jesus because of answered prayers. Thank You.

Maternity Home Project Update December 2017

Maternity Home Project Update December 2017

The Connect Global Team is very excited about the progress of the Maternity Home fundraising as well as the building and construction efforts.  Updated: December 29th

Together we have been able to raise over $131k towards our Maternity Home in La Ceiba, Honduras. Thank You!

We began raising funds for a desperately needed place for moms and expecting moms to rest just before and immediately after giving birth and are only weeks away from breaking ground.

We traveled to La Ceiba, Honduras with a team of 13 at the end of October. We were able to publicly dedicate the land at the hospital for the Maternity Home.

I am very excited about the project coming together and to be able to share this progress with you! As we were there praying over the land and the project, we received the approval for construction. This is a huge step forward as we have been waiting most of the summer for this process to be approved.

We are headed into the Rainy season for Honduras, which may delay some of the work, but we were expecting a slowdown for winter and we know the timing is perfect and being worked out on our behalf.

Thank you for all of your prayer and your support!

If you would like to make a donation towards the project before the year ends please click here

Our local contractor/architect, Eduardo Oviedo Jr.  has done a fantastic job getting the plans ready and we are excited to be getting closer to ground breaking.

Más de 90 familias de la comunidad de El Tamarindo, Nacaome, Valle se benefician con proyecto de agua, que tiene como objetivo principal impactar directamente en las condiciones de saneamiento básico, higiene personal y seguridad alimentaria de estas familias.

Water Well Project in Honduras
