Connect Global shares the message of Jesus through collaborative and sustainable solutions to needs around the world. One of the continuing projects we invest in is helping communities gain access to clean water.
Clean Water improves sanitation, empowers communities, and gives kids more time in school instead of time at home battling water-borne illness.
One of the ways we complete this is through clean water projects.
We have long partnered with the community-run, Water Management District, in Valle, Honduras as well as a local agricultural company that focuses on community development. Together, we have come up with sustainable solutions for not only a clean water well but also supply infrastructure to provide water directly to each resident in a sustainable way.
Our main focus in any water project is to provide a solution that provides as much access to clean water as possible. We work with community leaders and rely on their input to make the right decision on how to complete each project.
Sustainability.
The projects we take on must meet one main criterion just to get past the application process. We have to be confident that the community leaders are equipped and committed to being able to sustain the water access after we are done with the installation. This ensures that each project can go on providing clean water for years to come.
Health Factors.
Clean water access leads to health improvement. A person can not survive more than 3 days without water. The health benefits of water are numerous. Clean water helps prevent disease and sickness. Proper hygiene and sanitation lead to longer, healthier lives and water is at the center of it all.
Life Impact.
Access to clean water keeps kids healthy and in school, it can keep disease transmission and waterborne illness low as well as give back time and money to citizens because they do not need to walk, drive, or commute to get clean water. When basic needs are met a whole community is transformed and can focus on the future.
